BONFIRE FOX TABLE

This project was designed to be adapted into “Parkwaysnyc” parklets. The current design of their parklets consist of triangular geometries stacked and used in different ways. The design challenge was to fit a table in one of their triangular units. The overall shape of the Bonfire Fox was inspired by an origami fox. Origami was used because it’s triangular shapes and slim profiles. Additionally, since this table will be used in a park, it should be important that it should be fun and interact playfully with people walking by. After the shape was formed, I wanted to add another dynamic factor to the table that would bring it to life. I wanted to capture the moment when a fox is hiding in the bushes. In the space where the tail wraps around, a planter will be placed for bushes to grow.

These tables are for sale, please contact for more information, Customizable options available.
